Our daughter has a 'bad' hockey birthday.  She has always had to compete against older girls.  At this year's tryouts there were many more girls than available spots.  We had taken our daughter to Evolution after talking to some other hockey parents who recommended Scott and his staff wholeheartedly.  She worked with him and his staff once a week for about 2 months.  What a difference it made!  She was more confident and she transformed into a leader on her team.  She made the team she wanted and we're sure Scott and the staff at Evolution helped her elevate her game and also her love for the game.  Oh by the way, we drive 35 miles each way to get to Evolution.  They're worth it.  Scott, Linda and the Staff at Evolution.... My son Trent, who plays Pee Wee Hockey for the North Jersey Avalanche, has been taking private and semi-private lessons with Scott for about six months. Scott’s demeanor and coaching skills are what keeps us coming back. Scott puts a heavy emphasis on proper skating techniques, and his drills are designed to help the boys apply those techniques in game-like situations. He gets them to think about what they are doing with each drill and how it will affect them and their team on the ice. What I appreciate is that Scott will stop a drill if it is not being done properly, because he wants him to learn it the right way. Trent loves being on the ice with Scott, and he has become a better skater and all-around hockey player as a result. Most importantly, as a parent I trust Scott with my son. He is patient, never yells, and creates a positive and fun atmosphere for him to learn the game of hockey.
